Ford Recall Tracker is not an official recall notification service. A campaign appearing on this website does not establish that your individual vehicle is affected. Likewise, failure to find a campaign here does not establish that your vehicle has no outstanding recalls.
For information concerning your specific vehicle, check your VIN using the official NHTSA recall lookup and/or Ford’s official recall service before relying on anything on this site.
Official NHTSA VIN Lookup →VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS. A SPEED CONTROL CABLE MAY NOT HAVE FULLY SEATED INTO THE ACCELERATOR BRACKET AT TIME OF INSTALLATION. IF THE CABLE IS NOT FULLY SEATED INTO THIS BRACKET, THE CABLE COULD SEPARATE FROM THE BRACKET.
A LOOSE CABLE CAN RESULT IN THE THROTTLE NOT FULLY RETURNING TO IDLE AND CAUSE AN INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE.
DEALERS WILL ADD A RETAINING CLIP TO THE SPEED CONTROL CABLE FITTING AT THE ACCELERATOR BRACKET.
The badges below are parody classifications invented by this site — they are not NHTSA categories. The recall above is real. — parody / editorial
