We don't make up the recalls.

We just make fun of them. — editorial

Fixed Daily started with a simple question:

How many days can Ford go without announcing another recall?

Turns out, that's a surprisingly interesting statistic. So we built a database.

Fixed Daily tracks publicly available Ford recall information, primarily from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and turns it into searchable recall histories, statistics, trends and model-level information.

We also follow credible reporting about Ford quality, safety, manufacturing, warranty issues and the company's efforts to improve them. Then we occasionally make fun of what the numbers tell us.

Why Ford?

Ford spent decades building a public reputation around quality. Today, Ford's own leadership has publicly discussed the company's quality challenges and the work required to improve them.

We figured somebody should keep score. Preferably somebody with a sense of humor.

The important part

The data isn't the joke.

Recall campaign numbers, dates, potentially affected populations, affected models, remedies and other information displayed as factual data are derived from identified public sources such as NHTSA.

Where Fixed Daily calculates a statistic from that information, we identify it as a calculated statistic and provide methodology where appropriate.

The sarcasm, jokes, ratings, badges, commentary and other editorial material? That's us.

Real data. Fake attitude.

The recalls are real. The NHTSA campaign numbers are real. The affected-population figures are real when identified as source data. The news articles are real. The properly sourced quotations are real.

The sarcastic commentary? Still us.

We are not Ford.

Fixed Daily is an independent automotive data, commentary, criticism and parody website. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or sponsored by Ford Motor Company, NHTSA or any Ford dealer.

Ford and Ford vehicle names are referenced to identify the manufacturer and vehicles being discussed.

Your actual vehicle

This website is NOT a substitute for checking the recall status of a specific VIN. A recall appearing here does not establish that a particular vehicle is affected. Likewise, the absence of a campaign from a page should not be relied upon to establish that a vehicle has no outstanding recalls. For vehicle-specific recall information, use the official NHTSA VIN recall lookup or contact the manufacturer/dealer.
