Ford recalls 1.4 million F-150s over downshift defect
Ford issued a recall for nearly 1.4 million F-150 trucks from the 2015-2017 model years due to a transmission defect that can cause an unexpected downshift into second gear. The issue stems from degraded electrical connections that disrupt communication between the transmission sensor and the powertrain control module.
It is just a feature that forces you to experience the thrill of a manual transmission without the hassle of a clutch.
